I finally did it, I gave Denton his first haircut!

He was really good, at the end he got sick of holding still. He looks so cute with his new hair cut. He is very blonde, I cut off the rest of the brown that didn't fall out. So here are some pictures before, during and after.

I must say he is a handsome little guy!

What an old man, he has a comb over and all. Its too bad his Mom isn't a cosmetologist, then he would have an awesome hair cut...... Oh wait she is, so now what's the excuse?

Barbara's Birthday

My birthday was really good, I got to celebrate twice and both times it was a lot of fun! I was able to celebrate my Birthday while we were in Utah. We went to the Asian Star for dinner. I ate my favorite dish, Sweet walnut shrimp. Darwin "made" me a special cake, this year it was Shrek, it was really cute, and tasty too. He also got me special University of Utah ice cream it has caramel filled footballs in it, it is very yummy!

On my actual Birthday Darwin took me out to lunch and dinner then we went to see the movie 4 Christmases, I do not reccomend seeing that movie, all the good parts were in the previews. It has a lot of sexual humor and the couple doesn't get along most of the movie. I expected it to be a lot lighter and funnier.

UTAH VS. BYU

We had so much fun at the game, we went with Darwin's parents. It got a bit cold but we were prepared with extra layers, hand warmers, hats and gloves. It was a very exciting game. The best news is that UTAH WON!!!

Darwin's brother John and his wife Erin babysat for us. John was by himself for the first little while and he has never babysat before so he was really nervous, we left some instructions and ideas of things to do for and with Denton. Everything turned out great, Erin came home and they had a good time with him(that is what they told us, Who knows if it is true). We were really happy to go to the game and not have to worry to much about our son.

Denton has learned he can do many different things with his voice and lips.

Denton has rolled over a few times now. He can roll from his belly to his back. I don't think he really knows what is going on but he is sure happy to get off his tummy.

Trick or Treat

Halloween

Denton went to the doctor last week, he weighs 15lb 6oz and is 25in. long now. The doctor says he is right on track with his growth and development. He has started to giggle sometimes, it is so cute! He can also hold on to his toys now and keep himself entertained better. He is so much fun! He is starting to sleep better through the night. He usually only wakes up once, not at all if he sleeps in his swing.

Pumpkin carving

We carved pumpkins with our new friends Andy and Nikki. Darwin carved Frankenstein's Monster, I carved the Witch with her brew. We are both really happy how they turned out! Denton is going to be a chicken for Halloween, his costume is the first thing we bought for him when we found out I was pregnant. We will take him to our ward trunk or treat on Friday to show him off.

Take a hike!

This past weekend we went on a hike, it was so beautiful. The leaves are changing and I have never seen leaves so red and bright. We hiked for 1 mile uphill to the top of Multnomah Falls. I took pictures the whole way up and back down. I learned that I am pretty out of shape! Darwin had Denton on his back in a baby carrier which put Denton to sleep for most of the hike; when he was awake he just looked around, he loves to be outside.

Our New Home

We are now somewhat settled in Milwaukie Oregon. We rented a townhouse, it has 3 levels upstairs there are two bedrooms a full bathroom. On the main level there is the kitchen living room and a half bath. Downstairs there is a laundry room with storage area and the GARAGE! It is so nice to have a garage! The weather is beautiful here! It is not too rainy yet. We have gone for a couple of drives and it has been great, everywhere you look it is just green and beautiful. We also took a drive to the coast; we didn't get out much because we forgot to bring the stroller (we aren't quite used to bringing all the accessories for Denton).

Darwin really likes his job so far. I love my new job! Being home with Denton is a lot of fun.

Our ward is very friendly which is really good. There are not very many young couples so it will be very different from our ward in Scottsdale. I am sure we will be able to make some friends eventually.
